Following last summer’s editions in Northern Italy, we have expanded our program and finally landed on another continent. Thanks to the help of Chinese snowboarder Cai Xuetong – aka Tongtong – the first edition of the Clean-Up Days was organized in Harbin, in the Acheng district of China. With the help of local schools and a dense network of contacts, more than twenty children spent a morning collecting waste and learning how important it is to protect and respect the environment. “I think the message came across loud and clear to the children who participated in this event today,” said Tongtong, “this is the real big problem for future generations.”
The summer of 2023 saw the Clean-Up Days take center stage: a series of days dedicated to safeguarding the mountain environment and raising awareness among children about environmental issues. Thanks to the collaboration with Kinder – Joy of Moving and AMSI, we participated in the Italian stages of this initiative. The first event took place in Veneto, in collaboration with the Scuola Sci Civetta, and then moved on to Calabria, Piedmont, Lazio and Lombardy. These training experiences saw the participation of around 50 young people at each event. Level was a sponsor of the initiative and produced bibs, gloves and jute bags for waste collection. We are extremely satisfied with the final outcome of the initiative: learning while having fun is the starting point for safeguarding the environment for future generations.
Young, talented and with an infinite passion for snowboarding. Tongtong, real name Cai Xuetong, is one of the leading athletes in the world of snowboarding. In addition to the countless prizes won on the winter circuit, Tongtong has won the hearts of many fans thanks to her personality and innate talent. A member of the Level family for several years now, Cai has taken the green initiative to heart and organized the first Chinese leg of the Clean-Up Days.
